Rillankivi leisure track

The track leads to a historical boundary stone, nowadays known as Rillankivi, located in Sydänmaa village, and it marks the boundary of the Pihtipudas, Pielavesi and Pyhäjärvi municipalities and three historical provinces (Savonia, Tavastia and Ostrobothnia), as well as the boundary of three current regions (Northern Savonia, Central Finland and Northern Ostrobothnia). It has numerous markings, of which the year 1814, Sweden’s boundary symbol and many markings which are said to be initials and other signs, can be made out. The stone was protected in 1964 as the likely boundary stone of the Treaty of Nöteborg.
